The history of Heinz in a nutshell

Henry John Heinz developed a successful product, followed shortly thereafter by other products such as red and green pepper sauce, mustard, and tomato soup.  He was succeeded by his son and grandson.  Initially his grandson, like his predecessors, focused primarily on internal growth. 1958 was the year of change.  The purchase of a food processing facility in the Netherlands was the first step abroad.  He subsequently acquired companies all over the world, although the company headquarters are still in the USA, in Pittsburgh. Henry John Heinz's ideas still define the strategy of the company today: always ensure top quality, commitment and innovation.
